On an iPhone, the back of the card shows, in this order:

  • About this card — only when the card is not valid, with the reason and a line asking the member to contact you.
  • Member number, Membership (the level), Member organization if there is one, and Current term with its dates.
  • Your benefits — the benefits listed on the member's level.
  • Contact us — what you wrote in How to reach you.
  • Renew or update your details — a link to your organization's renewal page.
  • Lost your phone? — what you wrote in If a member loses their phone. Left blank, it tells the member to contact you so you can issue the card again, and that the old one will stop working.
  • What this card holds — the member's name, member number, membership level and standing, and that it stays on the device until they remove it. Your Link to your privacy information is added here.
  • Terms — only if you filled in Terms (optional).

You write the four lines under The back of the card in Organization Settings → Membership card. The rest is added for you. On Android, the card's details include the member number, valid-until date, status, your contact line, the lost-phone line, what the card holds and your terms.

The barcode is optional. Turn on Show a barcode on the card under Barcode and choose a Format: QR code, PDF417 or Aztec. The code is a signed token. It does not contain the member number or the member's details; scanned with an ordinary camera it shows only a string of letters and numbers. Check-in mode reads it and checks the signature on the device, so it works at a door with no signal, and a made-up code does not pass.

A card that is not valid shows no barcode. A paper card a member prints from their card page carries the same code, so it does the same job at the door.
