Set the name, colours, logos and artwork that appear on your members' wallet cards. Nothing on the card says Members or 2Labs.

Before you start

  • You need to be an Org admin.
  • For the iPhone card: a Logo (a wide PNG with a transparent background works best), a light Reversed logo for a dark card, and a square Mark. Background artwork is optional; about 1125 × 369 works well.
  • For the Android card: a Square logo, 660 × 660. The Banner (1032 × 336) and Wide logo (1280 × 400) are optional.
  • Images can be PNG or JPEG. A large picture is scaled down to card size for you. Logos keep a transparent background only as a PNG.

Steps

  1. Go to Organization Settings → Membership card.
  2. Under Name and colour, enter the Name on the card. It shows in notifications, and on the card when there is no logo.
  3. Set the Card colour with the picker or as a hex value, like #0B2545.
  4. Leave Choose text colours for me on unless you need to match a brand guide exactly. If you turn it off, set the Text and Labels colours yourself.
  5. Check the contrast lines under the colours. Each shows a ratio and Readable, Hard to read or Cannot be read.
  6. Under Card images, click Upload beside each image you want. Each image is saved as soon as it uploads, and cards already issued are updated. Use Replace or the bin icon to change or remove one.
  7. If you uploaded Background artwork, choose How the artwork is shown on an iPhone: The whole card (the picture fills the card, with the member's details over it; needs iOS 27 or later, and an older iPhone shows the plain coloured card) or A band across the card (a strip of the picture behind the member's name; looks the same on every iPhone). An upright picture suits the whole card; a wide one suits a band.
  8. Under Barcode, choose whether to Show a barcode on the card, and its Format: QR code, PDF417 or Aztec.
  9. Under The back of the card, fill in How to reach you, If a member loses their phone, Link to your privacy information and Terms (optional). Member number, level, term dates and benefits are added for you.
  10. In the preview, look at both the iPhone and Android tabs. A dot marks a tab you have not looked at since your last change.
  11. Click Save card.

What happens next

When you save, the message tells you how many cards already on members' phones will update.

If you click Save card before looking at both previews, Members switches to the other one and asks you to check it, then save again.

A card needs a contrast of at least 3:1, and 4.5:1 is the target. Colours under 3:1 cannot be saved. Between 3:1 and 4.5:1 you can save, with a warning that the card will be hard to read in sunlight. The member's name is also checked against your background artwork, with a tint laid behind it; if it cannot be read, the card cannot be saved until you use a different picture or remove it.

The Text and Labels colours apply to iPhones only. Google Wallet picks white or black text itself, and the page tells you which it will use on your card colour.

If something is missing, the card falls back:

  • No logo on an iPhone: your name is shown in text.
  • A dark card with no reversed logo: your name in text.
  • No square logo on Android: Google draws the first letter of your name in a circle.
  • No background artwork: the iPhone card is the plain coloured card, and the Android card is shorter.
  • No Android banner: the Android card uses your background artwork, cropped to fit.
