What you see
A member opens the link in their renewal notice, or enters the code from a printed notice. They see their renewal and the amount, but no button to pay. Instead they see:
"Online payment is not available yet. To renew, please contact [your organization] — they can take your payment directly."
On a paid event, a member sees a similar message asking them to contact you to register.
Why it happens
Card payments are not connected to Members yet. Until they are, nobody can pay online, and Members never pretends a payment went through. Nothing is wrong with the member's link.
Fix
- Tell the member how to pay you another way. When you record it, the payment methods are Cheque, e-Transfer, Cash, Card (for example, taken on your own card terminal) and Other.
- When the money arrives, open the member record:
- If a renewal invoice is open under Dues and payments, click Record payment and record it against that invoice. Once the invoice is paid in full, the membership renews.
- If there is no renewal invoice yet, click Renew for member, turn on Payment has been received and record the payment as you renew. If the member is not due yet, use More, then Renew early, which records the payment the same way.
- For a member who would rather pay by post, choose Print notice with code on Renewals. The printed notice has a slip to send back with a cheque.
If that doesn't work
Tell the 2Labs team your organization's name, the member's name, the exact message the member sees, and whether it was on a renewal or an event page.
