See where you are signed in and sign out a device you no longer use or do not recognise. An Org admin can also sign out anyone in the organization.
Before you start
- Anyone can sign out their own devices.
- To sign out someone else, you need to be an Org admin.
Steps
To sign out one of your own devices:
- Click your name at the top right and choose Your devices.
- Find the device. Each row shows the Device, what it Signed in with (Email code or Microsoft sign-in), when it Signed in and when it was Last active.
- Click Sign out on its row.
To sign out someone else's session:
- Go to Organization Settings → Active sessions.
- Find the person under User, and check the Device, Signed in with, Signed in and Last active columns.
- Click Sign out on that row.
What happens next
The sign-out takes effect immediately. On Your devices you see That device has been signed out. On Active sessions you see that the person was signed out of that device.
The device you are using shows This device or This session instead of a button. To sign out of it, use Sign out in the menu under your name.
Signing out a session does not stop the person signing in again. To remove someone's access, deactivate them in Organization Settings → Users & roles; that also signs them out everywhere in your organization.
Each sign-out by an Org admin is recorded in the audit log as Signed a session out, with By an Org admin. One you do yourself shows By the user themselves.
