Go to Tasks to see your organization's open tasks on the Tasks & stewardship board. They're sorted into Overdue, Due today and Upcoming; tasks with no due date sit in Upcoming. The header shows how many are open, overdue and auto-created. Click Mark done on a card to finish one, or Open to edit it.

Details

Adding a task. Click Add task on the board, or on the Tasks tab of a donor's profile. Fill in What needs doing?, then optionally Type, Due date, Priority (low, normal or high), Status (Open or Done), Assigned to, Related donor and Notes. New tasks are assigned to you unless you change it. Click Add task to save.

Editing. Open a task to change it and click Save task, or click Delete. The History panel lists every change, including who marked it done or reopened it. Done tasks leave the board; a donor's Tasks tab still lists them.

Tasks Donors creates for you. When a monthly gift fails to charge, Donors creates a high-priority "Recover failed monthly gift" task. When Smart nudges are on, they also create first-gift thank-you and lapsed-donor tasks, and a thank-you task when a donor starts or increases a recurring gift. These count as auto-created.

Receipt tasks. When you record a gift for a donor who gets a receipt per gift, Donors creates a "Create receipt for" task, due in 3 days. When you generate the receipt, that task closes and a "Send receipt to" task opens, due in 7 days. It closes when the receipt is sent or printed. If you void a receipt, the send task closes and a new create task opens. No receipt task is made for imported gifts, gifts below your minimum amount to receipt, or donors set to an annual receipt. Opening a receipt task shows a link to the related gift.
