Needs attention is your organization's alert feed. Click the bell in the top bar to open it. A red number on the bell counts only Critical alerts that are still open; other alerts appear in the feed without adding to that number. Everyone in your organization sees the same feed.
Details
What shows up. Donors adds alerts for you:
- "Monthly gift failed" (critical) when a donor's recurring charge is declined. It says Stripe is retrying and suggests sending a card-update link if it keeps failing.
- Tax receipts pending issue, when gifts still need a receipt. Issue receipts takes you to Receipts.
- Donors lapsing, when prior donors have no recent gift. View donors takes you to People.
- Tasks created by Smart Nudges in the last 7 days. Open tasks takes you to Tasks.
- Large gift received, for a recent single gift of $1,000 or more. View gift opens the gift in a window without leaving the feed.
- Import completed, for a recent contact import. View import opens its results.
- New recurring donor and gift increased. View donor opens the donor's profile.
Filters. Use All, Critical, Unread, Action needed, Good news and System to narrow the list. Each shows a count. Alerts are grouped into Today, Earlier this week and Earlier.
Read, dismiss and clear. Clicking an alert or its button marks it read. Mark all read marks everything read. Dismiss removes an alert from the feed and the bell. Alerts about receipts, lapsing donors and nudges clear on their own once the condition is gone. A critical alert stays on the bell until you dismiss it, even after you've read it.
When nothing is left in a view, you'll see "All clear". An Org admin's Home also shows the top items in a Needs attention card, with See all in Needs attention. The Settings button on the page opens Organization Settings → Automations.
