What you see

You've connected Stripe, but the Stripe card in Integrations shows Charges off and the message Finish setup on Stripe. You may also see Details pending or Payouts off. Publishing a donation form fails with "Connect your Stripe account and enable charges before publishing a live donation form. (Settings → Integrations)". The Donation and Manage giving templates show Not available.

Why it happens

Stripe has to finish verifying your account before it can charge cards. Until Stripe enables charges, Donors keeps live donation forms from being published.

Fix

  1. Go to Organization Settings → Integrations and look at the Stripe card.
  2. Click Finish setup on Stripe and provide anything Stripe asks for.
  3. When Stripe sends you back, or later, click Refresh status.
  4. You can also click Stripe dashboard to see what Stripe still needs.
  5. Once the card shows Charges enabled, publish your donation form.
