What you see

You entered your email on the Sign in page and clicked Send code. The next screen says "If that email has an account, a code has been sent.", but no email arrives. Or you entered a code and see "That code is invalid or has expired."

Why it happens

There's no password. You enter your Work email, Donors emails you a 7-digit sign-in code, and you enter it and click Verify and sign in. The code expires after 10 minutes.

A code is only sent to an email address that's on a Donors team. The screen shows the same message either way, so it won't tell you if the address isn't recognized.

Each time you click Send code, Donors makes a new code, and only the newest one works. An older email's code fails.

Fix

  1. Check your junk or spam folder.
  2. Make sure you typed the email your Org admin invited. Click Back to change it.
  3. To get a new code, click Back, then Send code again. Use the code in the newest email.
  4. If you see "Too many code requests. Please wait a few minutes before trying again.", wait, then request one more code.
  5. If you see "Too many incorrect attempts for this code. Please wait a few minutes, then request a new code.", wait, then request a new code.
  6. If you see "Your account isn’t linked to an organization yet. Please ask your administrator to add you.", ask an Org admin to add you in Organization Settings → Users & roles.
  7. If your organization uses Microsoft and you see Continue with Microsoft, you can sign in with your work account instead. You must already have been invited.

If that doesn't work

Tell the 2Labs team the email address you used, roughly when you requested the code, and any message you saw. We can check whether the address is on a team and whether the code email was sent.
